At a young age, I learned that I truly enjoyed the thrill of packing my bags and hopping on a plane to destinations my eyes have never seen. I always wondered what drove that curiosity about the world.
Sure, you can see pictures of these places in books and on the internet. But nothing ever compare to actually being there. To first hand see the sights, hear the sounds, smell the enticing foods, and feel the breeze on your skin. But for some reason, that just isn't enough for human beings.
It wasn't until I became an avid reader in my youth, that I came across a word that indicated that others felt the same way that I did. Wanderlust encapsulated all of those feelings. The excitement, the longing, the daydreaming, and the curiosity.
Wanderlust is a German word meaning a deep desire to travel and see the world. It is thought that wanderlust is an instinctual drive by our species to explore new land to discover new resources or adapt to new environmental changes. We were all built with wanderlust within us.
It's no wonder that we enjoy the luxury of travel so much. We love to gather and tell our stories of our travels. We are always in pursuit of the next adventure.
Welcome to the Wanderlusting World. A place where you can read stories, learn new travel tricks, find the latest hot spots, share your stories, and more.
